  1. Asset Management Advisor

RESPONSIBILITIES

Advising and supporting the Drainage Networks Operations & Maintenance Department by providing a positive contribution towards achieving the company’s mission and corporate strategy objectives
Advising and supporting the Department by providing expert technical, strategic, and operational advice on all aspects of Asset Management
Advising on improvements on risk management, operational output and performance within various departments to ensure the Department’s services objectives are achieved and sustained
Playing the lead role in ensuring the company’s Vision & Values become part of the culture of the Department

PROFILE

Degree qualification in Engineering obtained from a North American, West European or Australian University, preferably with accreditation from the Institute of Asset Management (IAM), and ideally have a Chartered Membership to a relevant discipline (C.Eng, P.Eng or P.E.)
30 years’ experience in the water, wastewater industries, ideally within the public sector
Substantial experience of international Asset Management best practices
Knowledge and experience of change management and/or business transformation is preferred
Demonstrable history of creating and embedding a new asset management department
Strong IT skills, particularly with MS Office
Fluent in spoken and written English
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage with key stakeholders, senior executives, management teams, and external partners/advisors

2. Drainage Advisor

RESPONSIBILITIES

Advising, supporting, and managing the Drainage Networks Operations & Maintenance Department’s vision, mission, values, and strategy
Interpreting, explaining, and communicating the relevance of applicable laws, rules, and regulations affecting the business
Being responsible for the operational and maintenance delivery, water treatment, and wastewater treatment functions
Advising the Department or Asset Affairs’ Director by giving expert technical, strategic, and financial business advice on all elements relating to the business in Qatar
Ensuring unit compliance with all processes and procedures relating to the Enterprise Drainage Asset Management System (EDAMS), Enterprise Asset Management System (EAMS), and other DNOMD systems and processes, and identifying and discontinuing redundant/duplicate activities

PROFILE

Degree qualification in Engineering obtained from a North American, West European or Australian University, ideally with accreditation from the Institute of Asset Management (IAM), and preferably have a Chartered Membership to a relevant discipline (C.Eng, P.Eng or P.E.)
30 years’ total experience, with at least 10 years in the wastewater industry, and a minimum of 5 years working in an Operation & Maintenance organisation

Strong knowledge of health & safety, quality assurance and control procedures
Previous experience of working in the GCC area is preferred

3. Senior Project Accountant

RESPONSIBILITIES

Preparing BOQs, interim claims evaluations, and final accounts
Processing regional payments, costings, expense reports, and payment trackers
Managing the investment process for the company’s utilities sector
Providing periodic financial reports and analyses
Preparing accruals
Budgeting and forecasting

PROFILE

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Quantity Surveying, with an accreditation from a recognised institute in North America, Western Europe, or Australia. Chartered status such as RICS or similar. A Professional Certification in a relevant field will be preferred.
15 years’ experience in a multidisciplinary organisation in the Middle East
Experience in the utilities sector or civil engineering industry is essential

4. Contracts & Commercial Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES

Preparing, assisting in negotiating and administering the various contracts
Reviewing all contractual notices of claims and providing contractual advice
Interacting with the clients, contractors, vendors and consultants in respect to all contractual matters
Reviewing tender documents and draft contract documents prepared by others to verify lack of ambiguity and conflicts as well as compliance with the client’s contract forms and related procedures
Investigating potential contractual problems and recommending corrective action

PROFILE

University degree in an engineering field or quantity surveying is essential
At least 10 years’ experience in Contract Administration and Quantity Surveying
Preferably have experience in the energy or power industry
Strong technical knowledge of FIDIC contracts

5. Accountant

RESPONSIBILITIES

Conducting the accounts payable cycle and accounts receivable cycle
Preparing payment batches
Conducting AR collection meetings
Carrying out monthly invoice billing to customers and following-up on collections
Executing month-end closure tasks: bank uploads, GL entries (accruals, prepayments, provisions), reconciling intercompany balances, etc.
Reporting the consolidated financial statements to the company’s head office, on a monthly basis
Preparing quarterly VAT returns and reconciliations
Conducting quarterly external reporting on financial information to one of the company’s investments in Qatar
Finalising annual reports and assisting with the audit
Updating the automated billing system on a monthly basis


PROFILE

Degree qualification in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, ideally with a professional qualification such as CA or ACCA
At least 8 years’ experience in accounting, with 2-3 years in a similar role
Solid understanding of Qatari accounting rules and regulations

6. Accounting & Tax Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES

Establishing and maintaining accounting and administrative policies, processes, and systems in line with the company’s standards, and in close compliance to relevant laws, regulations, and accounting standards
Managing all aspects of accounting; including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, banks, payroll, inventory, fixed assets
Maintaining General Ledger accounts and monthly account reconciliations
Preparing statutory financial statements and related disclosures under local accounting standards, and preparing IFRS financial reporting for group consolidation purposes

PROFILE

Degree qualification in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, preferably with an MBA or master’s in Finance. Professional qualification such as CFA, CMA, CA, or ACCA
At least 10 years’ experience in accounting, tax, and consolidations with 1-2 years in a managerial role
Must have worked in a sector with common international holdings and international structures, or a Qatari-based company with several subsidiaries overseas carrying out cross-border transactions
Very strong understanding of International GAAP, Qatari Tax, Qatari VAT, IFRS

7. Senior HR Officer

RESPONSIBILITIES

Supporting managers in the understanding of human resources issues, and developing their teams
Managing the recruitment process
Proposing, executing, and coordinating all training plans that are necessary to support the growth of the business
Leading the annual interview process and performance reviews, as well as the talent review process and succession planning
Managing litigation files by interfacing with mandated lawyers if necessary, negotiating the exit of individual employees

RESPONSIBILITIES

Acting as the business partner to the Chief Executive Officer, you will be responsible for the overall financial management of the company’s multimillion $ business in Qatar.
Overseeing all aspects of accounting, financial reporting, taxation, treasury, financing, insurance, financial planning, and analysis
Developing and maintaining the highest standard of corporate governance, compliance and internal control
Ensuring the adoption of the company’s policies, procedures, and systems, as well as complying with local laws and regulations
Developing and implementing an effective and sustainable financial strategy, funding and capital structuring of the business

PROFILE

Degree qualification in Accounting, Finance, and/or Business Administration from a Western university, with a professional qualification such as CFA, CMA, CA, or ACCA

RESPONSIBILITIES

Preparing detailed, high-quality research, financial analysis, and other analytical work for senior staff, recommending sound portfolio investment decisions that seek good returns and minimising the risk of losses
Distilling economic, legal, political, market, and other analytical factors into summaries to quantify the impact that those may have on the project risk/rewards for each project
Conducting property-level financial analysis including equity/debt modelling, structured return modelling, return/risk analysis, and pro-forma cashflow analyses

PROFILE

Bachelor’s degree in Investment Management or Business-related subject, preferably with an MBA or CFA chartership
10 years’ experience in an analytical role, with a strong focus on valuation, investment, and finance
Previous experience within a blue-chip real estate valuation company, developer, or investment advisory team with actionable investment experience in an international environment would be preferred, or non-real estate experience working for an advisory firm will also be considered
Good knowledge of Qatari culture, with a strong background of working in the country

Owning the end-to-end P&L of every project within the Asia Region

Providing strategic direction, planning, and managing the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and work instructions for MaaS and innovations

Defining the Digital Services vision and its strategy, processes and roadmap, playing an important role in the design and implementation of the Customer Services and Sales & Marketing strategies, focusing on innovation

RESPONSIBILITIES

Managing and optimising CCGT assets, implementing advanced technologies and strategies to enhance operational efficiency, ensure regulatory compliance, and maximise profitability

Developing and implementing innovative strategies to enhance the efficiency and output of CCGT installations, utilising cutting-edge technologies and sustainable practices

Supervising and coordinating regular maintenance schedules for all CCGT assets, ensuring they adhere to industry standards and practices to prevent breakdowns and extend asset lifespan

Ensuring all operations of CCGT assets comply with relevant local and international environmental and energy regulations

Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, regulatory bodies, and industry partners

RESPONSIBILITIES

Managing a portfolio of renewable energy assets, including:

Clean energy generation technologies (solar, wind, hydro, and geothermal)

Grid-scale energy storage solutions

Low-emission fuels and related production technologies, such as biofuels, hydrogen, and electrolysers

Maintaining awareness of market developments and advancements in clean energy technologies, and their related impacts on the renewable energy industry with particular focus on performance, efficiency, and reliability improvements, as well as lifecycle optimisation

Conducting detailed financial analyses for the assets, including budget management, cost control and profitability assessments

Ensuring all operations comply with local, national, and international regulatory requirements, particularly focusing on environmental, safety, and operational regulations pertinent to renewable assets

Supporting the creation of business plans, the development of budgeting instructions, and the performance of techno-commercial reviews in support of the company’s portfolio planning and budget process
