Position: Assistant Accountant
Azzurro Facilities Management is currently looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Assistant Accountant to join its finance team. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong foundation in accounting principles and experience in accounts payable processes.
Key Responsibilities
As an Assistant Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining financial accuracy and ensuring smooth accounting operations. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Invoice Processing
- Verify and process supplier invoices accurately.
- Ensure all invoices are supported by necessary documents such as Purchase Orders (PO) and Goods Receipt Notes (GRN).
- Maintain proper documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
2. Invoice Matching
- Perform 2-way and 3-way matching to ensure accuracy between invoices, purchase orders, and delivery records.
- Identify discrepancies and take corrective action in coordination with relevant departments.
3. General Ledger (GL) Management
- Ensure correct coding of all transactions into the General Ledger.
- Maintain accuracy in financial records and support monthly closing activities.
4. Payment Processing
- Prepare payment batches through cheques or bank transfers.
- Ensure timely payments to suppliers while maintaining compliance with company policies.
5. Internal Coordination
- Work closely with procurement, operations, and finance teams to resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain effective communication to ensure smooth workflow and issue resolution.
Candidate Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
Work Experience
- 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in Accounts Payable (AP).
Technical Skills
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
