About the Job
The Light Vehicle Driver will be responsible for driving light vehicles and trucks up to 3.0 tonnes across Al-Futtaim Logistics locations in the UAE.
The role supports logistics operations including vehicle transportation, port clearance, picking, binning and scanning activities. The driver is also expected to maintain company vehicles and follow Al-Futtaim’s quality, safety and operational procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive light vehicles and trucks up to 3.0 tonnes across UAE locations.
- Carry out port clearance, picking, binning and scanning activities.
- Maintain a damage-free driving record.
- Report accidents or incidents involving company property to supervisors.
- Maintain accurate vehicle logbooks.
- Follow company driving and vehicle-handling quality SOPs.
- Use the required uniform and PPE while performing duties.
- Scan and update vehicle/bin locations using the RDT device.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and management.
- Assist with washing, cleaning and fueling new vehicles.
- Update fuel information through the SMART Fill System.
- Work effectively with logistics and operations teams.
Requirements
Candidates applying for this Al-Futtaim driver position should meet the following requirements:
- Matriculation qualification.
- 25 years of age or above.
- At least 2 years of experience driving Class 3 vehicles.
- Category 3 driving licence as specified in the vacancy.
- Ability to drive and handle light vehicles up to 3.0 tonnes.
- Basic automotive maintenance and troubleshooting knowledge.
- Good communication and customer-service skills.
- Ability to maintain accurate driving logs and reports.
- Good teamwork and time-management skills.
